The plans are to not go too crazy on this one (if I can restrain myself lol), just want to tidy up a few things, perhaps some new wheels and enjoy driving it.
Anyone interested in a nice mx5 drop me a message lol.

Thanks
Well I still have the mx5 and I do really like it.
IMO it handles better than the mk2 mr2 as its much lighter and nimbler, making the steering more direct and responsive.
One thing I think it lacks however is top end power, you have to really push the engine and make it give you its all where an mr2 turbo will make you mess your shorts with very little effort. A lot of people who own them end up going down the FI route because of this but I couldn't justify spending £1k+ that I wouldn't get back to boost an mx5.
I really like both cars and i'd recommend them as drivers cars but for 2 very different reasons.
No matter what car I drive I always seem to come back to the mr2, just feels like home when I'm behind the wheel of one.

This kind of topics always put me off the idea to sell my tubby, kinda know what you talk about.
Back in the day when I had a turbo sedan "slepper" I came across many cars (friends, mates, bosses) that made it difficult to come back behind the wheel of my car - just felt shitty to drive after say e320cdi, different story with mr2, just last week I got my hands for couple of hours on 09 BMW520D and 04 V8 Jag, and couldn't wait till finish work and jump back to the two on my favorite back roads
bmw diesel still sounds odd to me, like dublin bus, heavy a lot of plastic I-phone on the wheels - not my kind of car
jag was like driving aircraft carrier and slow for V8 tax
A well sorted and sensibly upgraded two can be very rewarding to drive and easy enough to live with, so much it's hard to find replacement within sensible financial limits.
Great to hear you are back, can I still keep your Blitz SUS ?

Thanks guys.
Have to say it was nice meeting another site member to put another face to a name. Mark S was a pleasure to deal with for anyone looking to deal with him in the future. No doubt he'll have another mr2 some time in the near future eh Mark?! lol

Pleasure was mine.. When you left the postie arrived with a letter saying I can also take the garage next to mine. Can't have one garage full and the other empty! so already have an add up looking a rev 3 tubbie
Found a couple of mot slips, that should be them all in order since import, will post them up to you!

How does Rev2 and Rev 4 really compare to each other ? you've had both close to standard i guess ?
(from driver point of view of course, we all know spec differences)

My last car was Rev3, and this is my second Rev2. Apart from the obvious changes Toyota made over the years, for me there isn't a massive difference when driving the cars as a daily driver.
Perhaps if you were tracking the cars you'd notice more of a difference in braking etc. but from my own use that hasn't been the case.
They are essentially the same thing and I get the same amount of run/enjoyment in a rev2 car as I did from the rev3.
