Might come down to the condition of the turbo itself. They're old and getting older every year so presumably the seals get less and less reliable. It may come down to if you're lucky or not..

Edit: Casting my mind back a few years, pretty sure I had a CT20 running at 1.2 for a while seemed to be ok. Again might come down to the condition of your actual turbo though.
