URGENT HELPI catalytic converter for my MR2 8 Years, 9 Months ago Karma: 11
Hi All. I noticed my exhaust blowing this morning and under inspection I realised the seal between the cat and the exhaust is rusted. Does anyone have or know where I could get a replacement one? Need to get this done pretty swiftly so I anyone has one let me know I have cash here

I have no idea what the product or the seller is like, but you might want to get in touch to find out more about their catalytic converters. Ask plenty of questions before ordering.

I seen this cat and gasket kit online. Do you think these will fit properly? Mine is the same 10 year anniversary model as slipsiderg. 1995 silver G LTD N/A. Also is there any else required to do the job. If anyone wants to help me with this ill pay them.

Hi all,

One more question. I could not see the join between the front pipe and the cat. Does anyone know if this is stainless steel on the rev 3 or is there a chance it will need replacement also

If I was you I would send each of those links an email specifying your exact type of MR2 and engine it has.

At least then you have something if the parts do not fit correctly.

I know it's tight in the MR2 engine bay, but if you can take a few photos of the current catalytic converter, we may be better at helping you. I would like to see how it is mounted and where the sensor plugs in.

I would be quite sure Toyota did not install stainless steel exhaust parts on any MR2. It is possible that whoever owned your MR2 before you changed it though. This happened to me when I bought my MR2 and needed a mid-section. The Toyota part did not fit to the aftermarket parts.

Is it just the flange that leaking - if so I got mine sorted by Souhans in trim - just got them to cut out the flanges and weld in a stainless steel pipe in its place

cost was €70

Good stuff, not to expensive compared to buying new parts that may not fit. Kc'd for keeping the faith.
