Dublin City Panoramics 1 Year, 11 Months ago Karma: 101
I mentioned in another thread that I was looking to print a photo for my brother's new house. I decided that i wanted to take a panoramic shot of the city so I did a photoshoot yesterday evening and got these below but I can't decide which one works best. any thoughts?

Jesus Mark, they are all absolutely brilliant. Would be impossible to choose. The only way to pick is to match the colour scheme of the room its going into. Good luck!

Savage shots and editing, not that, that means much from me who knows very little about camares.

My favourite would be 1.

All are excellent - set up your own postcards business !!

If I had to choose, I'd say #4 - I like the black and white with the bit of blue in it as well.

My favourite is 2 or 3, but maybe 3 needs to be lightened just a touch?

#1 was shot at 18mm because i couldn't move any further away, the rest were at 55mm. I used a low aperture, around f/5.6 (ish) becuase I was on a shaky bridge and wanted to keep the shutter speed down.

I converted them straight from RAW to jpeg in lightroom 3, stitched them in microsoft ICE and then brought them back into lightroom and cropped them and used some of the lightroom presets and then just slightly tweaked them manually after that

Cheers Steve. I used a 55-200 lens @ 55 for some of the shots and an 18-55 @ 55 for some of the others. I'm not sure but I don't think there'd be any differene between them at 55mm?? I also used a lens hood which gave a bit of a shadow in the middle of #2 when the photos stitched together that i edited out with lightroom.

Cheers Spanky, it's between these 2 now. I think the photo's are too long for print so i've cropped them down to a 2:1 ratio which is a standard size for printing. So it's between these 2 now

Try www.photobox.ie, you can upload high res photo's and get them printed onto canvas max 110cm X 47cm,

Printed on high textured heavyweight 100% cotton canvas
Photo wrapped around canvas edges*
Sealed with a semi matt varnish for extra protection
Stretched by hand over a 4.5cm deep box wood frame
Finished on the reverse with artist backing tape

I had been thinking of going for a canvas print but I was told I'd lose a lot of detail in the material so I'm looking at frameless paper prints now

Just ordered this

_KUNENA_BBCODE_HIDEIMG

100cm X 50cm canvas print with flat packed stretcher frame, cost me €63 incl VAT and shipping from an english website operating out of Germany. Would have cost me €120 (excluding VAT and shipping) from an irish website, for the print ONLY! I try to buy Irish but people still think they can rip us off :(
