Well, im back! Missed the car so much! How sad is that, I was dying to get home and look at it. Sat in it for a while earlier, just inhaling the familiar MR2 scent. Took her for a good blast to clear the pipes, forgot how powerful it is. Chuffed to back in it after the holiday.

Anyway, I believe there were no meets while I was away? I'm surprised, but fairly sure that a few of us will be keen to get together this Thursday. I am suffering from severe MR2 deficiency which must be cured by deep immersion in the world of MR2's.

Please help nurse a sick MR2 fan back to full health by holding a Thursday evening vigil in Blanchardstown?

It can be McD's, the carpark, whatever people prefer.

Thursday is a problem for me, might try to make it to the cars 'n' coffee thing on Sunday though..

One of the pistons isnt going back in properly so the brake pad is touching the disc, I was able to push it back in so its not seized, i'd say it just needs to be lubricated or something like that, so i dont want to be driving further than work because it can cause the wheel to get fairly hot

I could call over and do an intervention if you want and split down and rebuild the caliper, that might get rid of the problem for you. Which caliper is it, and how does Thursday at 21-00 suit you. We can do it in your driveway once its not raining. Would only take about an hour or so.

Edit: No disrespect to your mini meet Swagger, my car is on stands and I don't want to go to a meet without the two. But I can try and get Dave's back on the road safely on Thursday as I will be using the jeep to get around.

PS Dave, keep an eye for oil type fluid coming out of the wheel bearing as it will get very hot and loose its grease. So fixing it as soon as you can would be important as the wheel bearing may take the brunt of the damage and you won't know till you get a whining from the wheel bearing.

Its important to get your caliper done anyway. Might even change my gearbox bearing if Ray brings his copper grease!

That tent is a good idea Frank, its impossible to work in direct hot sunlight. Im just back from Turkey and even at 35-40 degrees C (not sure what that is in F, 90-100?) its a drain just to go for a walk, nevermind being burned.

A tent or canopy can allow you to work away, even washing or waxing the car cant be done in direct sunlight. Not VERY necessary here, but handy all the same.

Not Really there Rob cos in 5 and a Half weeks i'll be in LA in the Beautiful Hot Sunshine, Surfing and Partying! Then I'll step on one of the Largest Cruise Ships for a Mexican Riviera Cruise for SEVEN Nights and then I will spend a few more Days Living it up in LA and Hollywood!

Very nice claire, I went on a cruise 2 yrs ago, did 5 nights new york and 10 night carribean cruise, I'll definately go on another one, be prepared to come back about 2 stone heavier with all the food thats available, Are you going with royal carribean?
