Okay, we're planning to arrive up at Enniskillen for about mid-day.

Leaving from Dublin at 9:30am at TravelLodge (N3/M50) - and breakfast for those who want at 9am (at least not as bad as 7:30am for the Mondello meet !)

Entry is free for cars entering the show and shine and I've entered the any cars ging from MR2 Drivers into the Show n Shine.

For anyone entering 1/4 mile, they need to book on website (see Dan's post below). Drivers need helmets and cars need to ensure they are in good roadworthy condition, especially wheels, tyres, battery bolted down etc etc.

Qualifying is from 10am to 4pm (class finals after 4pm) - so, if we arrive at mid-day, you've plenty of time to qualify.

Note: I am may not be able to meet at Travel lodge on Sunday morning. For those that are planning to go to travel lodge, please make sure you print out a map etc for the event so that you can find your own way there.

Turbo'd SW20 Spider might be a rare sight but two 2.2 stroker MR2's in Ireand givng the Evos, Scoobys and Skylines a big fright will be something I'd love to see

I'd love to give this sorta thing a go but my engine mounts are FUBAR. Dont want to snap the downpipe or bend the exhaust on a hard launch.

Should be a good event though. Only up the road from me so might take a spin up if any of you guys decide to make it. Not many drag events held in Ireland so would be good to attend.

Well there's no need to go there and destroy your car. It's still a bit of craic just doing a normal drag without all the launch/burnout.

If it's an airstrip you're not going to get any really sticky surface so it's probably safe enough.

Now if we could convince Tim and Shahid to come on over and represent that would be something! what do you guys think?

We can have this as our October event/meet.

I'll go along to the event anyway - I'll have to see how the car is nearer the event to see if I'll go on the strip. Some drag strips won't let soft-tpos go unless they have a roll cage

Ye i'd be up for that, i'll have to see how the car is going closer the date too to see if i will run but it will be worth a watch anywyas

Okay, I've emailed them to ask the latest time we can get down there and if we can have an area fo our MR2's. As per ad, its free for show n shine. So, all MR2 drivers will be entered in the show n shine

When I find out the time we need to be there by, I'll post it up.

For now, I'll get the list going - mark down if you will be doing 1/4 mile or just S/S

Hi Rob, did they offer any details on what requirements there are for the drag, i.e. helmet, safety pants, fire extinguisher etc? depending on those I may not be able to run, but will be there for the s/s.

Should be a laugh. I don't think I'm going to bother with the 1/4 mile though. Engine mounts, clutch, etc are on their way out. Don't want to be knackering them on the day!

I've asked them about that - will revert as soon as they get back to me.

Heats/qualifying are from 10am to 4pm and then class finals are after that.

If we have people in the 1/4 mile, I was suggesting we arrive at mid-day - that gives the cars entering the 1/4 mile 2 hours for qualifying. And for us coming up from Dublin (2.5 hour drive ), it means we don't have to be up before the crack of dawn !

Of course, anyone in the 1/4 mile can go ahead and get there for the start at 10am.

Anyway, mid-day is provisional plan - will post back when they confirm that we can arrive at that time.

Yep, but its a full face bike helmet, in a straight line it won't matter unless you plan on launching sideways

@spidey, is it just helmet? do they need long sleeves/fire extinguisher?

I won't be going unfortuantely, I can drop it to you one of the days after work or you could collect it from me at work in Mulhuddart if your out and about.
