There is now a chat thread, register of interest type thread and routes discussion thread for the Irish drive next September.
You should add your name to the list in the 'advance notice' thread if you think you might be joining the group and to be included in the accommodation arrangements.
All details/threads can be accessed through this link

Its easy to sign up, even if you dont want to participate in the MR2OC itself
We are only trying to share our MR2OC events to make it a more enjoyable experience for both clubs
If anyone doesn't want to sign up for whatever reason I am happy to send you the details. It's a first come first served basis and numbers will be limited for the 2010 4 day event, purely for safety reasons.

If i get the car back on the road and sorted then i may def concider this because me and damien D (off the site) have been talking bout organising a run like this over the summer which would incorporate the north coast and the south but will see how it goes and maybe just head on this for this year instead.

There is at least one meet per month organised (or to be organised) falling on the first Sunday of each month and a few 'special' ones outside that.
mr2.ie/index.php/mr2-forum/5-irish-event...s-with-mr2oc-in-2010
The September Irish drive isn't organised by myself and GWrinkle, nor is it organised by the admin on this site. The OC Scottish members are organising it and they will be looking after accommodation etc.
That said, I think it would make sense to start a list of those who might wish to attend from this site and I will update the OC list accordingly.
So, if you are interested in the 4 day Ireland drive this coming September, add your name to this list (copy and paste each time):

Good man ozzy
I have attended this event for the past two years making this one the third one and can say that its a fantastic long weekend roadtrip. You don't need to attend all four days, you can just dip in and out for one or two days.
Mnixon attended last year so he can tell you all about it as well. The guys from Scotland and England that come over are a great bunch
My name is down at the MR2OC end and wouldn't miss this for the world

Just to add what mnixon is saying ... you only need to register on mr2oc to add yourself to the list for this drive. Registering is free and you only need to take out the full membership if you want to.
I did say that I would add names to the list but it would be much easier for people to register and take care of this themselves. The organisers will be asking for a deposit of £20. This will be taken off the accommodation costs and secures your place.

+1 from me
Make sure you indicate which nights you want accommodation and whether you need it for 1 or 2 people.

Due to a number of people pulling out and general lack of interest this event has been cancelled
