I know we haven't quite got to the Fermanagh drive yet, but I thought I should post up the details of the next drive we are organising in 'the north'.

We will be driving the Antrim coast road and having a BBQ along the way. The link below shows the planned route starting at Belfast and heading to Bushmills. I am tempted to reverse this and start at Bushmills (ish) and head to Belfast, just so that it is different to last years drive.

This drive will be on Sunday 6th June.

We got about 20 (or more) cars last year which I think was the biggest event organised in Northern Ireland - GWrinkle will confirm. It would be great to get a similar turn out this year

If anyone want to head up here the night before the drive then you are more than welcome. I can organise accommodation the night before and we could even head out for a drink or 6

We could possibly build in a trip to the Giants Causeway if we started early enough, I will do some research

Just a quick observation, the monday is a bank holiday in Ireland so you'll have a nice day off after the run

Is anyone interested in heading up the saturday evening and staying over?

Wont commit myself to it yet but if im going i'll be heading up the night before, i'll put some milage on the 2 that weekend, all be worth it tho if the weather is good

I think I will but I'll prob wait til last minute, wait to see what the weather's like etc.

We are thinking about doing this drive the opposite way to last years, hence starting at the north coast and heading to Belfast. If anyone is to stay over then dont rule out somewhere on or towards the north coast.

Other option that I was thinking was www.ballycanalmanor.com/ these guys are about 1.5miles from me so I could give you a guided tour of the Moira village nightlife on the Saturday

Best thing ... decide if you guys are heading up on the Saturday and between us northerners we can help with arrangements and/or join yous

I'm up for the Stay over!! A few Bevvy's and a good yap getting to know each other sounds good to me!
£30-£40 per night B&B sounds very Reasonable for Ballycanal Manor. Looks really nice too, bet we could get a few good shots of the 2's there, Count me in!!

Dave and Steve, what time are you planning to head up on saturday? Morning/afternoo/evening?

weve no real plan as yet, we were kind of thinking we may hit the scrapyard when were up there, what time would suit you better?

Any time, i'll go along with whatever. Have you booked anything yet? Scrapyard sounds good!

Nowt booked yet, just waiting to see if the route is confirmed and then we can liaise with spanky and the rest on where would be best to stay, i'm pondering whether to get a car cam for the trip, would need a fairly big sd card but in theory would get approx 24hours use out of it.

Like a camera mounted outside the car? That would be cool! Sd cards are fairly cheap, the one i have is 4gb and it can store up to 8k basic jpeg images, it was only about €20 or something

I will be setting a limit of 25 cars at this drive as it is impossible to manage beyond that. Anyone who wishes to add their name after that will be put on a reserve list to take the place of any that drop out.

My advice would be to get your name down now.

In terms of those staying, I can make enquiries about accommodation in my village then we could head out for a meal and a couple of drinks on the Saturday night. If you would rather stay in Belfast or on hte North coast then let me know and we will see if anyone can advise. Ricky had also suggested the 5 corners which I think is in Ballyclare or Larne.

anywhere were the cars are safe is fine with me, I've had mixed experiences driving republic reg cars up north

Also a buffet breakfast would be a requirement for me
