Hi All due to a change in my circumstances i have to put up for sale my mr2 Turbo of which i have only had for a month. In the past month i have done alot of work to it to get it the way i want it however due to something coming up which i do not want to discuss online i have to sell her.
Last Saturday it pasted MOT first time with only being told it needed front brakes pads since Saturday i have replaced both front and rear pads and unseized the calliper sliders which caused the uneven wear of the pads, the brakes are now in perfect working order. Below is a full spec list of the car. With receipts to prove all work that has been carried out.
1 YEARS MOT
Rev3 Bilstein suspension fitted – Struts, inserts and topmounts
Lowering springs fitted (approx 45mm drop from standard)
BK racing 17” Alloys – moderate condition, could do with a refurb, All tyres replaced recently, Toyo’s proxies on front and Regals on rear, receipts showing over £300 on tires alone.
Alternator replaced 4 months ago. (Receipt in hand)
Cam belt & Cam belt tensioner replaced 6,000 Miles ago. (Receipt in hand)
Grooved brake discs all round
Full Apexi intake
Original Head gasket has been replaced with Steel performance cometic model, whilst the head was taken off the engine to complete this work, it was surface ground, and reskimmed. The engine headbolts were replaced with ARP ones (the bolts alone cost over 100 pounds ( Receipt in hand)) being an mr2 enthusiast and studying them i have found that a rev 2 block is a lot stronger than a rev 3 and as the head gasket has been replaced and all this other work carried out this is a better engine to increase power with as it will tolerate a lot more, this being the reason i went for it myself.
The Oil filter was changed and Oil replaced last week by myself and was changed with 5w 40 fully synthetic millers oil, as well as Toyota Forlife coolant being placed into the car in September 2009.
Standard CT26 turbo fitted with no play in the shaft as checked by myself when i bought the car also no smoke at all when boosting.
Blitz variable turbo timer fitted – A turbo timer is used to let the engine ‘cool down’ after use currently set at 1 minute giving plenty of time to let the internals cool down.
Blitz Dump valve fitted variable control currently set to high as it is very loud when on the low setting.
Boost is currently set at 1.0 bar on the car, this can be controlled via a manual boost controller, this was set up by 3S.
Cold grade Spark plugs fitted 6,000 miles ago, and leads replaced with another set of genuine Toyota leads, Distributor cap changed 3,000 miles ago as well as having the rotor arm and King lead replaced at the same time.
XS power intercooler fitted allowing for boost to be turned up as it has a bigger core for cooling.
HKS fuel Cut defender fitted to the car saving the car from fuel cut at high boost.
Japspeed Exhaust (plus flexi section) fitted 11 months ago this is a really nice sounding exhaust with twin exits once warm isn’t too loud.
A double gauge pillar holder fitted on the driver’s side, fitted with Auto gauge Boost Pressure and Water temperature gauges. Illuminate when ignition it turned on.
The speakers in the car consist of pioneer Kevlar woofers and tweeters in the front and vibe woofers and tweeters in the rear which are fantastic and sound phenomenal.
The bodywork on the car is fantastic as you can see in the photos I have given it 3 coats of t-cut for black cars followed by meguires clay bar and finished in auto glym HD wax ever Saturday for the past 3 weeks, the comments the car gets alone when outside the door are amazing people cannot believe it is a 18 year old car. The car also has front bumper lip which is really nice and adds shape to the front bumper and also it has a replica tom’s air scoop on the driver’s side directing cool air over the intercooler. With all this good talk there is one bad bit about the body work and it’s the front bumper which shows lacquer peel I have had this quoted for repair and only will cost £50 considering this is an 18 year old car i think this is amazing.
The car is also a T-Bar and still has both visors to stop glare when driving and most importantly the T-Bars do not leak which is a common problem in these cars.
The car was treated to Autoplast sealant regularly when the car was stored outside.
This car pulls extremely hard for what is almost 18 years, the turbo @ 1 bar is enough to physically pull you into the seat
The 81,000 miles are totally genuine, the previous owners as far as I can ascertain kept this car in a garage and didn’t use it very much, I can make a guarantee that if you look at the Auto trader or similar car sales websites, you will find very few MR2’s with this low mileage, and probably none in this condition
I have a service history for most of the work done on the car, however I have carried out some of the work with professional assistance myself. Previous MOT certificates (including the most recent which had 1 advisory which was brake pads) as well as the import documentation which is also available.
The car is currently SORN.
Im looking just what i paid for it which is £2000 even though i have put over £300 into it from i got it :( but i need it sold asap many thanks guys
Feel free to email me or send me a text message with any queries you may have about the car, or if you would like further pictures

Thanks Gavin

Oh God NO! You're kidding me Gav! After all of that waiting and searching. I can't believe it. I am really sorry to hear that. What ever the circumstances are, they must be serious to push you to this. Hope everything is ok with you and you sort something out. Best of luck selling and I hope you get back what you spent.
Take it easy.

That was a fairly quick sale Gav, Jesus, some people are months trying to sell. You got some luck eventually, I mean, it would have just been torture looking at it in the garden for ages.
Again, I am really sorry that you had to sell it at all. Fingers crossed things straighten out quick and you can get one again.
And hey, even if you don't own a 2, you can still be an enthusiast, and if it is not too painful, pop on now and again and keep in touch.
Take care!
