Note I am not the person selling this car
I saw this on another forum, found it interesting and thought you guys might like a read. If you are interested in buying the car, you need to contact Topgun over on www.mr2.com
This is probably the rarest most incredible MR2 you are going to find (being number 1) and the guy has done amazing work on it, there is even a build thread detailing the state is was when he found it and what he has done to bring it up to scratch: Project 2000GT
Note that it is in the UK, easily within reach of Ireland. If you want to buy it and need someone to pick it up, just let me know

As most of you know i took purchase of TRD1 last year and restored her to its former glory see project build PROJECT TRD 2000GT NO1 already have a replica TRD which if i sold i would tend to loose thousands of pounds the car currently owes me £xxxx pounds if i sold her i would be lucky to get half of that. With the process of moving home i don't want a Mortage round my neck so unfortunately TRD1 has to go,offers in excess of $xxxxx dollars plus shipping costs if you want to own a piece of Iconic history either PM me or email me.
Here's a few pics

If you're suffering from lag, you're either in the wrong gear or the wrong car!

I'd say it fairly well hauls a$$ for an NA. It has a TRD 2.2 bottom end, TRD cams, Tom's ECU. It wouldn't be any pushover thats for sure.

Without reading the rebuild thread you would think it is too much. However I think that for anyone that has a lot of disposable dosh, it's probably a fair price $25k US is what I heard.
Those wheels are special lightweight Rays imported from Japan *drool*

I think the VRT would only be 1k or so. Mine was 1k and that was two years ago.

The TRD kit is gorgeous and even better that it's an original one. Number 1 at that! I'd love to own one but I'd have to have a turbo lump in her!

I say we buy the car as a club, and keep it at my house
I wonder why he has it for sale on mr2.com but not on mr2oc.co.uk, surely that's where he'd be likely to sell it?

The best price will be had in the states. I agree that you should store it in your house for us Mark. I will take the engine and mind it in mine.

MR2's have gone uber cheap at the moment in UK... There's a really nice Rev5 GTS with Tom's kit I have been eyeing up for ages. The price is just a joke really.
*sigh* if only I could get a lotto win, I would buy a big property, big shed and start collecting

reading topics like these kill me...I want to buy a MR2 so bad! But with my US license I won't be able to insure my car in Ireland. Despite having a license for 3 years, I will have to restart everything and have a provisional license and act as if I never drove in my life . It's really annoying! Another problem is not having my dad to insure the MR2 for me the way I did in the US . Because if it was insured in my name it would expensive just like in Ireland.
