Good:
Bolts straight on to Rev 3+ boot lid with no modification
It's a GT wing and as you can see from the pics hard to differentiate from genuine
Bad:
Fixing bolts are a little rusty, best bet would be to source a couple of new ones (easy to do)
Paint could use a touch up (or respray if your car is not silver)

Jesus, really suits Marks car, obviously as its already silver but mostly because Mark's car is crying out for a nice spoiler to take permenant residency on its bootlid
I believe this REV5 style wing is also referred to as a combat spoiler.
Quandry, is the wing adjustable?

Yes combat and also I've heard it as a GT wing.
No the blade on this replica is not adjustable.

How much is a genuine adjustable one worth??

Quandry would be the best person to ask, they are very rare as far as getting one goes, most genuine parts are rare as they are now doing replica's of all kits etc, my greddy gracer spoiler would be worth about 600 to the right person (usually americans), i've never seen another SARD one like Swaggers so god knows how much he'd get for that etc

700 brand new from Toyota, they typically go for 300 or thereabouts second hand. If you have the genuine steering wheel and gear shifter, they could fetch about 500USD in the states but they would have to be fantastic condition. Other than that I think the only other big value item is the wheels - they love those in the states also. Maybe 750USD or thereabouts, but would be harder to find a buyer due to shipping costs from here.
Apart from that (and the wing), the rest of the parts are like any other Rev2+ that is broken - just depends on the condition. You might get the figure you're looking for, however it would depend on having some time to get all of the parts sold. Maybe 6-12 months?
If you do sell in parts, I would be interested in the wing.

I was quoted over 1000 from toyota for a rev5 spoiler.. madness really. was going to get a carbon replica but decided against it. I think the spoiler may be slightly overkill without supporting mods like aftermarket sideskirts and front lip?

Id say you did, the new guy Stephen's role is to grow business, work with clubs/forums, events and so on. I must push up the body shop thread.
Sorry for going off topic Quandry.

not actually sure how long its there ha ha. i told them to take their time and do it perfect as im in no rush to get it back as i have a daily driver anyway. They were just waiting on a couple of bits from Toyota that was taking longer than expected..

Id say if you were in no rush, they were pushing through the more critical stuff first, plus the parts thing.
The last time I was in there, they were asking about best place to get parts as the Toyota lead times were poor. Toyota barely hold any parts in Ireland. I once ordered some boot liner clips from the Toyota dealer in Naas. Over a week for some clips that had to come in from Japan and 20euro. I could have gotten twice the amount for half the price on ebay, in two days from UK. God knows how long bits like trim and inner arches etc are going to take.
Hope you get it back soon and at least its going to be absolutely perfect. The guy in there that does the painting is REALLY fussy. He is polite too, he was not at all impressed with the paintwork on my car, but was not willing to say too much. I laughed and said its ok, I know its a shit job, I could tell what he was thinking by the way he was looking at it. Fair play to him. Im sure you will be very happy.

Back on track here...
I managed to get hold of a genuine Rev5 wing. I measured up both the genuine and the replica and found that the blade and mounts are identical in size. When Mark and I tried the replica on his car we found that there was a gap at the front of the vertical. However, basically this exists on the genuine one also! here's some pics to show the fitment - note that this is exaggerated by the fact that I have a red wing on a blue bootlid:

If there's a difference, it's only 1mm. As you can see the replica could use a little bit of repointing on that corner. Could be easily done by a paint shop while colour matching.

Here's a pic on the original red bootlid, you can see that there is a gap there, although it's much less noticeable being the same colour:

Yeah I dont think it will be at all noticeable once all the one colour and nice and fresh. You are probably over examining it a bit, which is normal to do. I am pretty sure that nobody would see anything wrong with that unless you point it out to them.

you could probably get this smoothed out when painting as you would need to get the whole boot lid painted for a good job. Would look pretty good smoothed into the boot I reckon

Doesnt it? I think he should go for that, already Silver n all, so could wait a while to get it fixed up. Not too shabby!

It looks great in the pics but does need a bit of a cleanup when you inspect it closely. I might try and get some new bolts for it as the ones it came with are a little rusty looking. They still work, but it would be nicer if it's just clean.
