"This is the first appearance of the rear-wheel-drive sports coupé that Toyota and Subaru have been co-developing behind closed doors in Japan. It will make its world debut at the Tokyo motor show on 21 October.

In this unusual joint venture, Toyota and Subaru will each produce their own versions of the car, with sales kicking off in late 2011. Subaru will build all the cars at its Gunma factory in Japan and Subaru’s naturally aspirated 2.0-litre flat four will provide the power for both cars." Read more here

Nice looking car!

If you're suffering from lag, you're either in the wrong gear or the wrong car!

They better put a turbo version on the market.

Pity they didn't stick ith a toyota powerplant - lots of nice Toyota V6 options out there.
Wonder why they didn't opt for existing 1.8 vvti with turbocharged option.

If you were parking the car at Japfest would you park it with us - or the Subaru club. That's the question

Anyway Rob, who needs V6 when you have 3sgte power? there was not one single v6 at the NA2009 meet.

Oh , I think the Hi-lux might get traded in for that in a couple of years especially if its got a little tubby attached. Nothing mad but 220 bhp would be nice if it around the 1100 kgs mark.

Its very nice alright - but there is something about the rear view that just isn't sitting right with me ....

I was hoping a 2GR MR2 would have been there - pity. Must follow up and see what sort of numbers they are making on he dyno and 1/4 mile.

I think it looks amazing and if it comes in under £20k then it'll be a sure fire hit. I'm sure as it gets older there'll be a fair few turbo conversions carried out.
