Back in 2003, Toyota described the MR2 like this:

'The new Toyota MR2 is nothing less than the re-invention of a unique concept. A small two seater, mid-engined, rear-wheeled drive car, dedicated to the pleasure of driving. The new, lighter, stiffer body is powered by a high-performance version of the award-winning Toyota VVTi (Variable Valve Timing with intelligence) concept. The MR2 is about making some time for yourself and then taking the very long way home. Look into it. Explore the options. Anticipate the pleasure.'

In years gone by, Toyota has had a proud history of sports cars. Cars that owners felt passionate about. In recent years their design has veered more towards economical and generally uninspiring models. Engineering wise they are still innovative and efficient, however on the whole many Toyota sports car owners feel that the current line up has waned from once great positioning as a premier Japanese sports brand. There are however embers of hope, in that people are still passionate about Toyota ownership and many after market product companies such as Apexi, Blitz, Tom's, HKS, Greddy etc will provide quality performance improvement products for many of the MR2s, Celicas, and Supras roaming our streets today.

So this site is dedicated to Inspiration! Inspiration that in the future perhaps Toyota may return to it's great sporting heritage. Inspiration that MR2's will continue to evolve and reflect their owners creative persona. Inspiration that our global community of MR2 enthusiasts will continue to flourish, share, and enjoy these wonderful sports marques together.

If you're suffering from lag, you're either in the wrong gear or the wrong car!
