Was looking at these seats from www.mcgautostyling.com they are based in Kells CO Meath but do a delivery service. Seats are priced at €169 each inc rails which isnt bad. DO you think they would look well in an MR2

I'm sure they would look alright. Similar to brides bit a tenth of the price.

From the pic, they look savage. Price is stupid cheap, inc rails? Makes me wonder. I would want to see them and sit in them etc first.

Also, check the shoulder width. Some of these type of seats are very wide at the top and can block the centre cubby box from opening. If they dont, or if they do and you done give a shit and you are happy with the quality, then you have found yourself the deal of the century my friend!

The things I would look for when purchasing seats for the MR2.

1. Price.
2. Will they fit the MR2 ?
3. Safety, do they meet European safety standards ?
4. Quality, are they built to last a few years ?
5. Comfort, size and adjustability.
6. Style.
7. Weight.

Wow those seats look impressive at the price!

Cheers lads, yeah they d seem to be a bargain at this price. I think i might head up to the Shop in Kells CO Meath and try them out in person first before buying them. That way ill be sure of the quality & if they will fit or not.

Cheers lads, I will be on 2 weeks holidays after next week so i will take a spin up to that shop one of the days and check them out. If the measurements look like they will fit and the quality is good then ill probably be coming home with a pair of them!

Obviously you have a van or something for work?

What are your original seats like? Are they full upholstery, half leather, full leather? Also, condition. Reason I ask is, you might sell them pretty handy if you wanted to. A few people might be interested in them.

I mnew the owner michael from a few years back in school,he has some very very good prices,he can under cut pro-parts for rota's and ECC for STR wheels,think it was under 300 for 4 STR wheels (spoon replica's etc) without tyres and there a strong alloy,i had a set for a few years.

Just measured my Two. They should fit....Think i'll whip out the credit card.

Not sure where in Kells it is but id say it shouldnt be too hard to find. Kells isnt that big. Swagger i have a peugeot 308 hdi for work. My original seats that are in the MR2 are cloth & are like new. No rips or wear anywhere on them. Not even a stain If i do end up buying these seats i will more than likely sell the original ones alright.

Ah cool Steelheart, was just wondering how you were going to get the seats home.

Have enquired about the rails fitting in the MR2? It's great that the seats themselves do, but make sure they garauntee the rails will actually bolt the seats in sturdy and safe, or get a garauntee that if they don't fit, that you can get your money back.

Hopefully they pop right in, no problems and you are very happy, then you could either sell off the old seats or keep them just in case you ever wanna change back.

OK guys. I was chatting to the shop owner and he is one of the most accommodating people I know.

So I ordered the seats and he said he would refund me all my money if they didn't fit as long as I got the seats back up to him.

Also he has amazing prices for the wide range of products he has!

Yeah Ozzy, I actually went on the site a couple of days ago and spent a couple of hours going through all the stuff. Looks like a great place and I was well impressed with the prices. I think it may be worth a stop by to his shop.

Could be an interesting drive for a Sunday meet if he was willing to open up for a few hours to generate some interest in his shop etc..

Anyone think that is a good idea? If so, I could start a seperate thread on the subject.

BTW, Steelheart, good meeting you yesterday. The car is lovely, really tidy, fair play. You have to make it to the next mini-meet and meet the rest of the gang. Post up some pics of those skirts and see if anyone knows what they are.

I agree Swagger. He said his biggest problem for him is Marketing. He is certain that once he establishes a market share, his prices will pull in the cash.

At the moment though, hits on his website are slow simply because no one knows about it.

I nearly drove there today from Galway City until he told me delivery of the seats is only €10! What are bargain.

Oh and steelheart the seats are out of stock for 10-20 days. (it wasn't me. I am waiting too.)

If your coming in the Cavan road keep driving down into the town,after supervalue is on your right theres a turn right,take the one after that and its just on your right as you turn out it.

From Ardee road its on your left as your coming into the town near the T junction at the top

What type of intercooler are you looking for ? I have an unused aftermarket one with a slight dent, if you are interested I'll post some photos of it here.
