If they did these in dogs balls configuration I would buy one.
For anyone that does not care about the look and wants a performance exhaust without all of the noise, this is the system for you.
SW20 Turbo:

SW21 NA:

Here's some details on it, as you can see it is actually quieter than stock! and flows better giving 7 more peak hp:

There's sound clips here: www.madpsi.net/MR2Exhaust.htm
Here's a quote from a reseller:
"The exhaust tone is deeper than stock, but the exhaust is not louder. This is not going to be one of those exhausts that are going to attract cops, wake up your neighbors, make car alarms go off all the time, give you and your passenger a headache, have people call your car a rice rocket, etc."

I have the n/a one. There's certainly nothing wrong with the sound out of it, i've had a few compliments on it. I'd agree with that quote there, i've only ever set off one car alarm and that was in a multi storey car park so that doesn't really count! Karma for the good find geoff

Hmm, I'm thinking about getting a turbo version one of these now...
The weather was good today and I was driving around with the window down, but wow my car was LOUD people must be pissed when I drive past! I think this new engine must be more efficient or something and it just makes a load more noise...
Maybe it's time for a change and go whisper quiet...
Here's some pics of 2's with the turbo Fujitsubo:

Now one question I have is where the heck do you buy them? MadPSI in the states is a reseller but that is a long way to go for an MR2 Turbo exhaust...
What do you think?

Ok I've made some inquiries on this, it seems the Legalis R is hard to get and has to be a straight from Japan order
I checked with Hyeline, even though they have a sales office in the UK they are not locating stock there so they have to export. I also talked to TBDev, they would have to import, MadPSI in the states can supply but it's a 'special export'. The short of it is that the cost is about €700 + shipping + tax
That is fierce expensive for an exhaust! but the new ones are hella good quality and also also allow you to go fast without necessarily going LOUD with it.
So I guess that I might be on my own group by of one on this but I think that's what I want to go for...

No worries, I know it's MAD MONEY ... I sure have to save up for a few months to contemplate it. Wish there was a Berk I could hear in Dublin. Problem is that my memory of the Berk is that it is quiet at idle but when you put the foot down it does have a loudish note. Nothing like the Nur Spec R, but you can tell it's a sports exhaust.

All being well you will be able to hear mine in Enniskillen next month if you are going, if not I don´t mind meeting up somewhere so you can hear it.

Sounds like a plan. only thing is that I am snookered for Enniskillen at the moment. Is your car up and about already?

Thanks Geoff, its been 3 months since I have sat behind the wheel so I think I will be a little nervous.
All being well should be picking her up this weekend. I am hoping that everything will run smoothly from now on, I must be inline for a bit of luck with her!!
Once shes mapped I´ll come down to Blanch or near about so as you can hear the exhaust, if you are still undecided as to what to go for.
I don´t think you would be dissapointed with the Berk it is a great quality item. It is also supposed to be one of the most free flowing exhausts for the 2.
I don´t think noise is going to be an issue for me from now on with the screamer pipe!!!( I am not 40 until later in the year so guess its ok lol )

For interest, it turns out that Courture Auto are a Fujitsubo reseller, so it seems that the Legalis R is available in Ireland therefore without needing to import from the UK or Japan.
Still an expensive exhaust but nice that it can be supported locally!

I have one of these on my car.. was on it from Japan but have to say that it is a good piece of kit. Rumbles just right and is not loud which is what i wanted. Pretty much what the videos are like. Expensive though

Here's some pics from my recent Legalis R install.
Nice box - but big! and heavy! It would not fit in my MR2, I had to pick it up in my wife's Scenic.
_KUNENA_BBCODE_HIDEIMG
There's a nice installation book, certificate, and stickers included:
_KUNENA_BBCODE_HIDEIMG
Also some other JDM cards/promotions etc
_KUNENA_BBCODE_HIDEIMG
_KUNENA_BBCODE_HIDEIMG
_KUNENA_BBCODE_HIDEIMG
_KUNENA_BBCODE_HIDEIMG
Hmm shiney :)
_KUNENA_BBCODE_HIDEIMG
_KUNENA_BBCODE_HIDEIMG
Jasma & 4 inch tips
_KUNENA_BBCODE_HIDEIMG
_KUNENA_BBCODE_HIDEIMG
The pipe is 3 inch mandrel bent, however there's a slight restriction with the flexi, so they are rated as a 2.75inch system
_KUNENA_BBCODE_HIDEIMG
_KUNENA_BBCODE_HIDEIMG
Nice welding throughout
_KUNENA_BBCODE_HIDEIMG
_KUNENA_BBCODE_HIDEIMG
And comes with a handy fitting kit
_KUNENA_BBCODE_HIDEIMG
Once again, this is a big can
_KUNENA_BBCODE_HIDEIMG
Fits easily under the car however
_KUNENA_BBCODE_HIDEIMG
It was a quite straight forward install, there was only one bracket that needed some 'persuasion' to fit ;)
_KUNENA_BBCODE_HIDEIMG
Overall I would say that I was very happy with the experience of dealing with RHDJapan. The Fujitsubo experience is high quality, the muffler gives off quite a deep bass rumble at idle and low speed. When you put the foot down it's very quiet, so quiet in fact that I can really only hear the engine noise and turbo. Perfect sleeper material :cheer:

Cheers guys, yes I would definitely by from RHDJapan again, with no hesitation. Very good communicators.
Swagger the funny thing is that you might see it but you really can't hear it - it's super quiet for an MR2 exhaust IMO
