The quick answer is - this week.

the more complicated answer follows ...

The marquee is 180 - so, if we get 10, then 18 quid each. The marquee really makes it - ask anyone who has been there for both the sunny years and the rsiny ones !

The show itself is 10 euro a head if you get entry in before 16th. I'm trying to get people in by 12th, as I need to get everything sent in one envelope.

so, you could pay the 18 for the marquee now and then

1) ride shotgun with someone else if your car isn't ready
2) pay the 20 entry on the day if your car is ready

It's great craic being on the mr2 stand and the selection of other cars on show are just amazing

Okay, we have the 10 people/cars. So, the marquee is a go : )

Over the next few weeks, we'll have a few posts and we'll organise the usual bits and pieces to bring along. For anyone new to this, all we do is that each person brings along a few items e.g. 1 person might bring a few sausages and burgers, someone might bring tea, coffee etc. The idea is that no-one would be spending more than 3-4 euros each.

Well guys looks like I am out. My wife runs a yearly fundraising event for the last 4 years and I get roped into it.

But didn't get to cross check the dates till now, feckin gutted. Will make sure they don't clash next year.

Okay, we're down to 9. Marquee is 180 euros (this is already a great deal / mates rates). It was 18 per person based on 10 people but with only 9 now, the cost is gone up to 20 euros per person.

Need to know asap if everyone is okay to put in the extra 2 euros per person ?

Redmk1 - i didn't realise you gave me 60 euros for yourself and mr2wanabe. So, if you are okay to give the 2 x 2 euros, then i already have it - if you know what i mean.

if EVERYONE isn't okay to do that, then we'll have to cancel the Marquee and i'll just refund everyone the already paid 18 euros. This will not affect the show entry - we will still have a club stand (aka piece of grass!)

It might just be safer to go without the marquee this year? If anyone else has to drop out then it will get very expensive for everyone else! I only say that as I currently have real life issues that might rear their ugly head

But if everyone else is still happy to go with it then so am I

Rob I don't mind paying extra the Marquee is well worth having

For the sake of 2e I'm fine with it too.

Considering the nature of my withdrawal I would be more than happy to fund my section of it.

JapOHara jumped in to make 10 but then we had another unfortunate dropout So, we went up to 10 and back down to 9.

Anyone else interested in going along ? Fantastic show - one of the best.

The little dilemma we have is that the money for the show and the forms needs to be sent tomorrow (they have to be in BY Friday). It's €10 if it is in by Friday and €20 if you pay on the day. But, if you want me to get it in by Friday, you need to get the money to me TODAY.

The price of the marquee is 180 - so, it obviously varies based on the number of people. At the moment, i have 18 * 9 = 162. And we'll get 2 quid from the 9 people on the day to make up the 180.

So, what i am saying is - if someone wanted to go and hadn't got the full cash now, they can get the 10 quid and the form in today and then pay the other 18 on the day.

The drama continues but we've been rescued by TurboD this time !

He's going to help out and still pay 18 euros (very fair of him seeing as he won't have his car there). But, we'll put all the 18 euros toward the marquee. So, cost stays at 18 per person (10 * 18)- no extra 2 euros per person required! And to get into the show, he'll meet us beforehand and ride shotgun with someone.

I just sent payment for the show this evening and i'm posting entries tomorrow. So, we're 100% sorted now !

Okay, folks - in about a week or so, they'll start to send out your Entry numbers to the addresses you provided on the forms. Keep these as you need them to get in on the day !

Now on to the easier part to organise - food : )

We're looking for everyone to put their name down for something - not to exceed for than 3 or 4 euros max !

The reason for putting down what you are going to get is so that everyone doesn't turn up with burgers and no-one will have buns etc !!!!

Aside from food, throw your name down if you've gas bbq's foldable tables, cups, plates, coke etc. Coolbox would be great if anyone has one

Here's a list of the essentials - burgers, sausages, buns, hot dog buns, tea/coffee, sugar, milk, ketchup, mayonnaise, cheese slices, soft drinks, paper plates, cups, plastic knives/forks. Anything after that like biscuits, crips etc are a bonus

Always a good idea to bring your own mug !

Show opens to public around 11ish. So, we usually meet at the Spawell carpark around 9:15, drive down about 9:30, stopping off for breakfast rolls etc in Terenure, getting down about 10 and then setting up, cleaning cars etc

Between us, we've made edible burgers / hotdogs the last few years with no reported deaths, food poisoning !

The bbq might be a better option, as there's no power for a fridge unless someone had a generator
