I'm Ben , i'm a Panel beater and i'm currently living in Meath ,
I'm delighted i found this site as i can go on the look for my mr2 with irish enthusiasts help ,and maybe i might just find the right car from a member .
What i'm doing is looking for a fairly standard Mr2, preferably rev3 upwords as i want the mouldings to be factory painted ,
I went and seen a rev2 on sunday in dublin and i nearly cried for the poor car , it was obvious the owner did not care about it , i took my polish set and as i was looking to see if the panels were painted or not i began takeing the watermarks / mould and tree sap off the car , it was literaly a different car by the time i had finished with it , but as it was so neglected i couldnt bring myself to make him an offer .
So any help finding a nice clean example in any colour would be a great help

Tell us a bit more what ur lookin for-i know of some 2s for sale.
Has to be rev3+? tbar? standard? turbo? colour? condt? ur a panelbeater so will one needing a respray suit?

welcome benny, i know of a lad that has a good decent one for sale t bar turbo dark green orginal paint too, needs bit of tlc but body wise its not bad clean new suspension put into it a year ago but perfect
it has another year nct on it, been left up a year but i reckon it could be a great car if it got a good owner if u want let me know,

the fella that has it is in tuam by the way..

Hi lads just in from work , and thanks for all the welcomes .
If i'm honest i am looking for a turbo mr2 in eather black , white or blue .
I'm Afraid green just isn't my favourite colour .I don't mind if its t-bar Or not , both look superb
Yes i paint/ repair / interior repair /wheel refurbishment / wheel resprays , you name it , once it has to do with appearence i do it . I work in Trimtech which you may have heard our add on Radio Nova .
If i'm honest i would prefere to have a perfectly original paintwork , although if it needs a respray it would need to be at the right price . Engine must be standard as can be , but exhaust and D/valve are fine , i would like to have a rev 3 as the come with the upgraded engine and i would like to have an LSD also .
I dont mind going to look at a car but if i come across a car that hasnt even been washed for me to see it i will walk away .
It needs to be some-bodys pride and joy as i would just enjoy the car more knowing i can look after the car to a very high standard .my budget is about 2and a half g's but no more as i'm buying a van too , thanks again for all replys ,

Welcome aboard Benny. The lads here are sound an know dere stuff. I looked at 3 MR2's before I found the right one - Hang tough and the right car will show up !!

Hi Ben, if you're free, you should go to the Cars & Coffee Meet in Cherrywood this Sunday @ 10.30am - i'm sure the lads will offer plenty of advice and you can see what a clean 2 looks like.
