OK it's not an MR2, but it's like an MR2's ancestor

I had a '74 Celica for many years and the 'feel' of my SW20 is very similar. so much so that I think they probably shared designers. Anyway enough reminiscing....

I was taking a squizz at Speed Hunters and found this article about an RA28 Celica Drift car in Japan.

These cars are epic as I think they look quite aggressive and muscular even standing still!

Very tidy SR20DET install. I can't help feeling that a 3sgte might have been a better fit in there though :P

This was a very limited run Celica. They were only made for just one year I believe, as Ford took Toyota to court for "copying" the design of the mustang of the time. It certainly earnt the name "Mustang Celica" in Australia I remember..

That is a really nice car. How much are they? Mega bucks?

I had four friends with them back in the 90's. Saw one for sale a few months ago in Wicklow I think it was only 5grand or thereabouts.

Now that I think of it I saw an RA28 next to Tallaght Powder Coating earlier this year.
