Checked and confirmed that this is a UK import...I thought all UK/IE rev5s had leather as standard?

Can't link as I'm on the phone but what's the story with the Ferrari rep for €3300 in Louth donedeal, just search "mr2"... Not my thing at all but the cheapest I've ever seen!

I believe the t-bar models had leather as standard but the sunroof models did not.

That engine would most likely be an alcoholic on oil..i.e major oil consumption ..the early 1.8 vvti's both in Celicas and MR2s (and probably more across the toyoota range) are known oil burners and the Catalytic converters get destroyed as well due to this.

Was passing by this garage today and it was open so went in for a look. Yer man even let me take it out for a spin.

Almost immaculate on the outside, save some minor kerbing and fogged up lenses at the front. Interior a bit shabby, but nothing an afternoons cleaning wouldn't fix. Original Toyota cd player, mats, etc.

It's been lying in the garage for a few months now and needed a jump start. I don't know much about the VVTi engines but I've heard they can burn alot of oil. Passed the NCT in July.

Shame that its not being used as it's a nice example of a mk3. He has it up for 2900 on donedeal...might leave it go for less.

I'm just after putting a bit of money into my Mk2 to get it through the NCT so probably not at the minute, but maby down the line. They are not as refined as the mk2 but great fun. I've never driven a mk1 but I'd imagine they are more similar to the mk3.
