As promised pics below.
And some facts. I bought mr2 as the track day car. Was cheap and not perfect.
But after all decide to geve her what she deserved for.
It is 92 T-bar GT-i version,
My first wark on her was to take off led lights from underneath. 3 of them doesnt work anyway Alternator has broken main cable. Than i have put new tyres on back wheels. New discs and braek pads on front, battery, fixed exhaust( broken pipe), oil and filters.

Spec:
-Leather seats,
-17" alloys,
-Standard aftermarket exhaust, cat on,
-Rev 3 engine (I think it is) working on rev 2 ECU??? tell me if I am wrong

Basicily car needs a lot of work, lot of bits are missing.
Paint work not perfect but not so bad, I think. The driver side sill was being eaten away by rust in one place. Will try to put Rev3 wiring loop to run the engine correctly.

Before Track day will change braking fluid for the racing one, and one alloy needs straightining.

Restoration of this car taking as a challange

Its a rev3 engine alright,
How many rows of pins does the white plug to the left of the ecu have?
I think rev3 has 3 rows and rev2 has 2 rows of pins,
So if the wiring is rev3 the ecu must be a rev3 because a rev2 ecu wouldnt work with rev3 wiring,
Unless someone actually went through the bother of changing the pins around in the clips going into the ecu which would take quite a bit of effort.

I have bought ECU from rev3 and it has 4 sockets, when the rev2, which is on, has 3.
So i presume the wiring is at it was rev2. Anyway I am suprised it is running like that.
She is chocking when cold, when temperature goes up runs ok. Hard to say how good as I've never driven MR2 before.
Thanks for your opinion spla300, as i wasn't sure of that.

Yeah youre right rev3 ecu does have 4 sockets, but one of them sockets isnt used and i think the writing on it is black, the rev2 is red.
Find someone in your area with a rev3 car and compare all them wires going into ecu and make sure they werent repinned, if they were just put them back they way they were.
