Hey all,

I was thinking it might be interesting to see what sort of occupations and other hobbies our members have. Are there many actually involved in the auto trade or is it just a hobby that has drawn us to our cars

The thread by Juliuswws on ecu and capacitors got me thinking about this as he is obviously knowledgeable about that stuff, but that again may be another hobby.

If you don't want to share too much that's fine

I work in the Finance sector (exactly as exciting as it sounds!) And for fun I mess around with cars and play golf occasionally (fine weather golfer!)

Electronics is one of my hobby indeed, along with mechanical repairs of smaller devices. I'm a collector of cassette decks of the 90's era, but I also buy and repair reel to reel, VCR, DAT players time to time to restore/repair them. You'd be surprised how much science are in the high end tape transports, so that's why enjoy it.

I also very much enjoyed completely rebuilding all my 4 calipers few months ago. Took me 2 days, but I was in no rush and saved a ton of money.

I'm currently working in a 4* hotel as a supervisor/manager, but my hospitality days are ending in 5 weeks time forever. 10 years was enough of hospitality for life, thank you very much.
Originally, I'm qualified as a chemical and food ware trader, so in theory I could run a shop like Aldi/Dunnes in Hungary, but I've no interest in that.
(Hopefully) my future now is medical devices/pharmaceutical technologies

Fair play Juliuswws, sounds like you have your hands full with your hobbies! I'd be completely useless with electronics!

I think anyone that has worked in the service sector will feel your pain...people can be idiots and extremely rude

I a welder/fabricator myself by trade...welding coordinator these days...always loved the Mr2...on my 2nd fixer upper...
