Looks like mostly 2nd and 3rd gear corners round there, the long ratios in the SW20 box must be a bit of a nightmare but you were going well. We will have to make the trip down sometime with ours, only need to swap engines and get a new clutch for the next day out lol.

Nice one for the videos Tsporter interesting day out on track. Thanks for bringing the young fella out for a spin and I never got out with you. We will need to change that next time.

The barbie car is most excellent indeed. We could only get the road tyres on it for the day as needed tuner nuts to put on the rear slicks.

We went out in the morning and the car wasn't pulling the way it should. Turn out the battery bracket was loose and the neg terminal also. Tighten them up and bag she was on song, lovely car to drive hard. But the psycho element you get from the Mrk 2 is missing. Now some people might think that is a good thing but I enjoy the fact that the Mrk 2 will swap ends when you let off on the go pedal.

So what is the Mrk 3 like to drive on track, it is smashing. Very neural in the driving with plenty of feedback from the chassis. You could turn in and let the back slide nicely with the limmo and throttle only needed to decide the exit direction. I couldn't get that point right as I have driven the Mrk 2 for so long. I am looking forward to learning this little gems handling secrets over the next while.

What was nice:
The driving position
The brakes capability
The eagerness of the engine to rev
The lightness of the car

What I didn't like:
The steering is a little to assisted
The power kicks in a bit to late
Couldn't get the slicks on
Gearing is a little to long for my liking.

Great day was had, could have done with some rain for giggles.

Slip I seen before some MR2 championship boys changed the 16s that came on the later MK3s to 15s to help with gearing, dont know what you have on. Think they are the same bolt pattern as SW20s.

I re-uploaded those videos cause the quality was terrible, should be better in a few minutes...

@weeJohn, I'm in an AW11 not an sw20. I find you just get her into 4th for a second on the straights but it's 2nd and 3rd predominately.
