Any ideas for a calender for Mr2.ie?

i think its a great idea id be up for it once i get some more professional shots of my car done with all my new upgrades

Think we should put up pictures here then pick the some out and go ahead with that

Can't be that hard to do up a calender for someone with a little bit of computer knowhow, I've seen it done on other forums...

Problem would be print quality:

Places like photobox are great and have deals on from time to time...I got some photobooks made and quality was second to none

Good idea. I wouldn't mind paying a few kid for a nice MR2 calender...

I have an MR2 calender produced on MR2OC last year. There as a bit of work (not by me) in getting hte images, preparing them and getting them printed etc.

Using Photobox or similar can be expensive but is an easier way of doing it.

The secret is to get a variety of photos, not just car sitting on tarmac. Photos like cozzy's defective headlights make it interesting Seriously though, some more variety e.g. this one of my car is in the calender I currently have

My advice is to get creative .... and not just with locations. Get some photos of parts of your cars that you are proud of, interesting angles etc

well im trying organise a photoshoot in cork after christmas we could use them photos for it.

You see calenders for sale in the shops for 20 euros a pop. I wouldn't necessarily pay that amount but if it was nicely presented with good MR2 pics then I could be persuaded

Sometimes it's just a matter of getting cars that happen to look well together

Get up close and personal when someone has made a real effort on their car (this is a '94 tubby owned by the other Mark)

... or sometimes getting up close to the rear is good too

Sometimes you don't need a car at all (memories of a happy day and good drive here)

other times you just need an MR2 somewhere in the pic to make it relevant. This was taken in the Scottish Highlands and the silver 2 is the most awesome MR2 I have ever seen - £25k in modifications!!!

Digital cams make it easy, just try to imagine the picture and snap often ... then delete the 75% crap photos when you get home.

Lads, coming back to calender subject. Have anyone any mr2 calender from previous years? could you post it up here with price it was bought...

I think we've planned to do a calendar the last few years but always left it too late. How about running a monthly photography contest every month this year and use those pics for a 2014 calendar?

If we could pick someone to put the calendar together first. then we could select 12 people to put forward one pic for each month?

or 24 people to put forward one pic each, so we could put two picks on each month?

do ya know what would be totally legendary is to all meet up hire a few savage looking young one to pose with the cars and pick the nicest pics for calender.I guarantee everyone on here would love to have a few max power type pics of girls with their cars and sell copies of the photos to the owners that not only would pay for the models for the day but would also pay for the photographer to make the calender. whatcha reckon?
