Alot of the jobs I've done thus far have been made easier by the advice of friendly folk on here.

I realised my thread has more pictures of car parts than the machine itself.
So charged the battery last night and started her tonight.

Since my last update I've fitted crystal indicator lenses. I think they make the car from the front.

Yeah I waxed the car before covering it up for Winter.
It was given a full respray ~5 years ago so the paint was immaculate when I bought it.

Where did you get the dehumidifier you have in your car? B&Q?
It was a great idea of yours to have one put in the car, I think I'll get one too.

Put 2 in one behind each seat they absorb 450ml of water each

Just got 2 new ones this morning in euro giant clarehall €1 each -

Heatons and home store do them as well - just don't forget about them like I did , windows were fogging up too easy last fortnight probably something to do with a litre of water stored behind the seats

So finally the new Exedy clutch has been fitted.
I got my local Toyota god to fit it and he said he had done much worse jobs.
The only thing that slowed him down was the fact that many of the nuts and bolts had ceased after 23 years.
While he had the wheels off he noticed the brakes were steel on steel. (So much for the NCT, which passed it)
So he changed all the pads too.

I took the car for a 10 minute drive last night and the difference is UNBELIEVABLE.
I'm going to put that car back on the road for the 1st of March for 9 months.

Plans are:
New Shocks.
Oil change.
Fit new driver side door speakers.

sweet the new clutch is a deadly job - hopefully the last time it needs doing

I spent today doing some engine bay detailing by adding 10mm stainless steel bolts and washers that I got on eBay. Anyone want a free sticker?

Those of you on TOC irl may have seen that I did the same cleanup on my Corolla.

I gave the engine bay an epic clean today as it had 20 years of leaves and dust in the corners.
To combat this I used the official MR2 engine bay cleaner haha.
(Hoover with garden hose taped on)

Then finally just attacked the bay with hot water and soap, fitting my stainless steel fuse box covers :)

I also started the interior LED conversion.
I tucked the wiring in behind the plastics for my smd LED bar.
The factory MR2 boot light is really awful....

The interior led smd board is almost finished.
The difference between the standard bulb is unreal.

It's very similar though, and a good bit smaller.

I should elaborate I copped the boot one was a bit smaller alright - I was referring to the dome one-

Anyway KC for you because you're just after jogging my memory - I'm removing the undertrays soon to check the underneath and rust proof where necessary - I ordered a bag of 50 stainless bolts to replace what I take out

So only a little update.

The car is taxed on the road from now until Winter 2014
So I charged up the battery and finished off the interior LED conversion for the Dome lights. I might have over killed it with x2 40 SMD LED panels. They are very bright!

Fitted a new bonnet prop catch from my Toyota dealer, 3euro :laugh:

The car started with no issues at all and rolled out of the shed for the first time in months.
I went for a nice 20 mile spin after topping up with a full thank of petrol.

I hope to give the car as much driving as possible in the coming months and bring it to a few shows. :-)

Had an excellent day of progress with the car.
One thing that has bugged me ever since I bought the car has been the fact that only 1 of my 4 front door speakers work. Thankfully the 3 rear ones work great. I was really at a loss as to why they didn't work as even new speaker units didn't fix the issue. With that I decided to tackle the Rev1 wiring....

I removed the kick panel, sills, and doorcard to get maximum clearance. I broke my footwell plastic, remind me to post a wanted advert.

I pulled out the entire door loom and peeled away the coverings...
And I finally saw two snapped wires. B)
This was great news.

I performed some minor divert on the fly and turned on the radio...
SUCCESS!! All speakers work in the door!!

I cant describe how happy I'm with this. It means the car is 100% back to the way it was rolling out from factory.
Next steps is to do the other door and then install my new Sony Headunit + speakers.

I'm delighted now that the speakers are working as new.
Finished off the last of the easy side of SMD LED conversion.
Placed 50 SMD LED boards into the coutesy lights in the doors.

I have also removed the entire middle dash and radio, so that I can start adding in my CD/MP3/BT player. A nice modern little upgrade for the car.
I plan on changing temp control unit, clocks/dials, and ciggy/ignition barrells to SMD LED's while I'm at it.

I have posted a wanted thread looking for these bits.

- Leather seat. (Any condition)
- Driverside plastic sill + kickpanel.(All one panel, must be in V.G condition)
- Inspection panels. (Any colour, must be no dents)
- Rev3+ Tweeter covers.
- Steel MR2 sill plates with logo.
