Ricky's picture is of a GenII, on the GenIII it is supposed to have the fuel pressure regulator there (looks like a little mushroom yoke that connects to a vacuum source). The GenII has the FPR at the gearbox end, but the GenIII has it at the cambelt end.

I'm surprised that ST did not give you one??? either way you need to get one either from him or the guy that took the engine away.

I may have a GenII one kicking around somewhere from when I changed my own, but I'm not 100% sure if it would actually fit.

Don't forget that you will also need that vacuum hose that is shown in the photo.

Hey Darc,

Just been reading the progress on the engine transplant with great interest..
The bit thats missing is the fuel pressure regulator as the lads were saying.. sold it 2 another lad from Cork a few weeks before you collected the engine.. dident even occur to me to mention it. I have a non turbo gen3 engine with fuel regulator.. not sure if they are the same but will check this evening and if you still need it then more then welcome to it.
Cheers

If I was you Darc, I would use this opportunity to buy an adjustable fuel pressure regulator. It will come in handy for when you want to increase the power

@Marty J Thanks for the remidner for the hose... Also wont be getting the adjustable fuel pressure regulator at the moment, just need to rein in the spending insurance cost way more than it was ment to etc im over budget by about 2k already KC+1 for the picture

@St No worries about forgetting to mention it, were all human at the end of the day and we mis things.. ya be great if you can let me know are the same. but might have one sourced now

@Quandry Thanks for the offer of thhe REV II fuel pressure regulator was talkin to toyota earlyer when trying to figure out what part was missing before i got back to a computer and they were saying they are not compatible and there are 3 different types of fuel pressure regulator for the REV III 3SGTE engine, 2 have been discontinued and 1 is still in prodocution so this might be a hard part to find in the future.

there is light at the end of the tunnel!!!

Darc's first photo, they are the turbo water pipes. The L shaped one goes to the water housing. The second pipe joines to the circled one in the other photo.

I think Marty is right and I am wrong. The size of the pipes gives it away.

Well done Marty

Not sure if this pic is any use to you? (not my car btw )

_KUNENA_BBCODE_HIDEIMG

From memory there is a really thick ground that bolts to the gearbox (to carry the starter current), and then there is a standard gauge ground with a plug on it around that area also.

Which one is the problem with and I'll get a photo of where mine goes from and to.
