Hi dudes, more a lurker on here as I spend a bit more of my time on Octane and the MR2Mk1 site. Only joined here so I suppose I'll show my 2 Mk1s and try and become more active here and join a few meets.

The first Mk1 as I bought it:

The plan is to completely restore it and hopefully drop a 3sgte into her. Drop it low with riveted arches, deep dish rims and respray it a BMW e30 type grey. The overall plan is changing day by day so this is subject to change!!

And the current steed:

This has only recently passed the NCT and was treated to a respray (not the best admittedly) and new wings and undersealing recently. It's not the most perfect model out there and it needs a gearbox as it suffers from the 5th gear pop-out problem but was picked up cheap and I can drop the box from the white one into it. It has the Mk1a seats which I love as they match the car lovely.
It also has a set of black 15" Pro-Race alloys since these picks were taken and a few other bits and pieces.

Cracking motors mate. Best of luck with the restoration. Where are you based? I'd be tempted by a 3SGTE Mk1 myself! Best of both worlds!

From between Dundalk/Carlingford. I'm currently selling a Cooper S as well so hopefully get rid of that soon and I can put more money into the Mk1s.

That's a great idea dshamrock. My gf is from Carlingford as well so maybe a mini meet and a few beers too?
