Ok Im gona get a set of tose dials, maybe at the end of Janurary ,
Yellow ones with a red -reline on it , and Toyota on the left dial and MR2 on the right dial , itl look sweet and not to ott,

Ok hit the car hard last night and got the entire rear quarter panel done

wiped down the panel with the degreaser wipes and cleaned all the dust off her

I also have a question lads, how much are the door bumper strips the black ones that run down the middle of the door and also over the front wings and also attach the rear bumper , are they expensive to buy from Toyota , I want to buy brand new black ones to break up the paint work a but and give it that cool fresh factory look

www.toyotaparts.ie are pretty good. They will get parts for Irish domestic or Japanese domestic models. Just need to give them your chassis number. I've bought a few things from them before.

Another option would be to get the parts from Joe the MR2 breaker over in Tuam, although they might be a little weathered or need cleaning up. Those strips are pretty resilient though.

I would aslo strongly recomend Joe in Tuam, I was there with the car and apart of the stuff I went for I got whole lot of little bits that helped me get the car back to 100%
i.e missing bolts, cracked plastics, cig lighter, wents.

Got a bit of work done today had to take off the door handle and the door strip first off had to cover up the windows

Im off all this week so im gona do my best to get all the panels done , Im going out to it tonight to put a layer of filler on her a skim coat to keep the rust off , and maybe a light layer of grey primer and a quick sand down to see any low spots, and then next week get started on the other side,

Ok got a good bit done all the right side of the car is no done , well the main part anyway , I had 2 tins of Filler or so i thought , one has gone missing think I left it in the motor factors so heres the pic of the bottom half of the car done

Had enough filler to get the rear panel and the top half of the roof done ,

I didnt eant to leave the door bare metal so I sprayed it with a layer of primer , had to mask it up first didnt want overspray all over the place

Gave it 3 good coats and the left it to dry

took all the wrapping off and then left it to dry overnight

Ok so I was looking at the door that I got down to the bare metal and I am thinking I do not need to put a layer of filler on the car, I forgot its not being sprayed its being wrapped so all I have to d ois just make sure its flat and has no MAJOR bumps or dents, so Im going to just spray the door down with the spray putty give it a good 3 coats and it should be fine then , so I dont need to go over it with layers of filler , so heres the updates for tonight , got the door sanded and the first layer of skim I had to sand down and then ran out of sand paper
