Pager/Engine Alarm Suggestions? 3 Months, 3 Weeks ago

The car I'm looking at doesn't currently have an alarm and it'll be the one thing I'd want done.
At the moment, I have a Toad alarm in the current car. Nothing special, but a decent alarm from what I'm told. In the past, I had an eBay jobbie, pager alarm with engine start, boot popper and 2 LCD remotes.
I'm wondering if people have any experience with these? Should I definitely stay away (I had ZERO problems with my one over the course of 18 months)?

I had one of those from ebay and it was great, I didnt set up the remote engine start, Swagger had the same one and had his set up for the auto engine start, no complaints from here
