Are you interested in a free course to re-skill or cross-skill in areas where job opportunities currently exist? A range of IT courses are now available as part of the ICT Skills and Springboard Initiatives.
ICT Skills:
Griffith College is offering two 1 year programmes under the ICT Skills Initiative designed for existing Level 8 graduates from non-computing disciplines who wish to pursue a career in the thriving IT sector. In what is a very exciting development, a range of high profile potential employers have committed to providing internships for suitable graduates on completion of the programme.
Higher Diploma in Science in Web Development (Level 8): The first semester focusses on core computing skills, with the student specialising in Web Development for the second semester. Content covers areas such as Cloud Services and dynamic web page design.
Higher Diploma in Science in IT Infrastructure (Level 8): The first semester focusses on core computing skills, whilst the second semester will see students specialise in IT Infrastructure. Areas covered include Network Security and Cloud services.
Springboard:
Certificate in Computing Science (Level 6): Successful graduates of this programme will have a strong knowledge base in the area of computers specifically those skills highly valued within IT department across all sectors. The course specifically prepares graduates for employment as IT technicians.
