Holy shit dogs Lanzar .... you get the prize for rant of the thread so far
@Quandry: I am lazy, I freely admit that. We all are to some extent but I am one lazy bastard
@Sliper: you could probably park in the coach spaces with your football team. Must be a nightmare when the ankle biters outnumber the adults by sooo much.
@everyone: it seems clear that a lot of things really annoy a lot of people. While I am not normally known as the voice of reason on here

how about an un-rant ... it is nearly Christmas and (personally speaking) I have:
had some good nights outs with more to come
have a great group of friends - on here, in work, personal life etc
enough money to keep a luxury fun car on the road - luxury in the sense that it is unnecessary
I am in good health
I get good holidays - including a few days coming up at my brother's in Switzerland
I have a good and reasonably secure job that allows me to do all the above
I have a great wife who is also my best mate
No matter what any of my rants or comments (serious and sarcastic) have already been, there are a lot of people a lot worse off than me as well as a lot of people who have it genuinely hard either this Christmas or throughout their lives.
As an example ... a guy in my work had his 4 year son diagnosed with cancer about 2 weeks ago. This is so well progressed that treatment is proving to be pretty much ineffective leading to a quoted 20% chance of survival for the little blighter. This guy was happy with every aspect of his life 2 months ago and now things have crashed around him and his wife, meaning Christmas (if the unthinkable happens) will likely have bad memories for the rest of his life.
Just food for thought and why, for this Christmas, I am going to be thankful for every small thing that I have not least playing santa for my two nephews (3 & 6 year olds) who I only get to see about twice a year.
Obviously this thankful, clear head thinking doesn't extend to idiots on the road who go through red lights in front of you, don't indicate etc etc
Merry Christmas to you and your car
