3S-GTE Engine Block! 1 Year, 7 Months ago

Hey lads well the final verdict is in on the engine of my 2 and basically the oil pump went and spat loads of shards of metal into the engine so there is loads of little bits bet into her everywhere so i need a whole new engine for her!
So who has a 3s-gte engine for me? ASAP

Is it a Turbo you have and are you fitting it yourself or getting someone to do it for you?

Hey, thats unfortunate! Its a rev3 turbo yeah? what about Traynors?

Thanks a mill was onto them before lunch but they have only got a non turbo engine. im after been onto joe o reilly as well so he is checking it out. ive another guy who might have an engine comin back to me shortly. fingers crossed

yeah its the turbo in her! i wqont be fitting it but ill he watching the fitting and learning what the f*!K is going on! Talk about been thrown in at the deep end!

hey lads this guy has an engine with only 44K on it and is selling it... seems to have sold most the car was talking to him on the phone, what do ye think? as im somewhat afraid of done deal now! why would u break a car that only has 44K on her anyhow?

I have used pistons, connecting rods, crank and brand new genuine oil pump if you are interested  . |

That would probably be the handiest. It would be drop out the old, lift up the new, connect and go.

Go with that Darc, cheaper than going with IVI, but keep IVI in mind for an end to end job if it comes to it.

ya deffo keep IVI in mind they only had the 3sGE up there but have told my mechanic mate about them as he has a pug in for a new engine at the mo as well

Well I'll keep ya up to date just been in the Limerick tunnel on te way back to Kildare... Mate driven the first half of te leg back so nice and handy to rest !!!! Gonna be a fun few days ahead...

Well its 02:15 and i have just walked in the door and realised my laptop was still on so said i had to update ye! been one hell of a mad day and all for a engine lookin forward to the days to come... all of you guys on here have been great today and over last few days! some "road trip" pics of today/yesterday/tonight and some of the engine! sure ya will see them shortly! goodnight!

Thanks was a mental one alrigt was up at 7.30 this morning to get it out of the van.. Then I clawed back into bed and have only just surfaced. unfortunately my mate who was gonna fit is says it's gonna be a few days as his wife is moving business prememis...  but we will get there eventually...

I am looking to build a Rev II block with a Rev III head and some other tweeks, this would help me along greatly. |
