Awesome mate, I can put them in tomorrow. Actually if you have a hires of that Guinness one that could be interesting. I would cut it top and bottom to make a panoramic.

Class photos, brillant locations. Looking forward to seeing photos from this years runs, we should have an ample amount of pics for the banners.

This one is my favorite, I think the colour of Mark's car contrasts very well with the Guinness colours and because it has the black part at the bottom, it's very similar to looking like a 'pint' i.e. it closely resembles a genuine Guinness advertisement.

I think Guinness had a competition recently to get photos with their logo in them, this would probably not win it as MR2's could be seen as an acquired taste, however IMO very well done Mark.

Guinness run that competition on a monthly basis, I was actually a runner up when i entered a few months ago with this

the duct tape is gone but it's in need of a respray after i locked up on the ice and hit the footpath

It's all good. The car is still looking great! Passed the driver theory today, so now the MR2 dream in Europe is becoming a reality

Awesome shots there...

I've been messing around with a bit of HDR-which a combination of 3 photos, 1 properly exposed, 1 under exposed and 1 over exposed-this is my 1st photo using this technique and I intentionally went overboard, it's all part of the experimenting HDR is generally regarded as tacky and leaves pictures looking more like paintings than photographs, and I agree, but I think it works very well with car photo's and really brings out the details.

That first pic of someones blue 2 is truly awesome, fantastic and great. Must be a great car .. wish I could have one

I know we are talking about the calender idea elsewhere but getting some Irish landmarks in could be an idea e.g. your Guinness pic and soon at the Giants Causeway (not sure how close you can get a car though)

There's a road that goes right up to it, it's meant just for busses, but if you show up early enough, who's gonna stop you

How’s this for an idea, a yearly calendar run, it would involve the following steps

1. Determine a set of 12 notable locations around the country via a thread, capturing the counties or provinces of the members. The members of the club would locally pick a spot and post up some pictures of the proposed location, for all to agree on the 12 proposed for the following year.

2. Determine a route for doing the run based on the mileage and locations. It may take two days to complete but could be determined each year and with agreement. If the run looks excessive in distance perhaps it would be a case of going to the first location the night previous and having some refreshments together.

3. Then our photo experts could take the snaps, edit them choose the best maybe 16 photos, then on a thread gather the best 12 via comments on the thread and start to develop the calendar.

4. Get it printed and sell on via www.mr2.ie, bring to meets and runs like the vintage show last year, to sell onto to people. With all profits going to a chosen charity each year or a predetermined cause which is motoring related, this will highlight the club as one with a responsible attitude to motoring and keep our Boy Ricer rating at the low end of the scale.

Any thoughts on this suggestion.

Sounds Very good, If these locations were picked pre calendar print then they could be put in the boxes of the dates on the 1st calendar that they are to take place next year etc
