Hey,
I need a good preferable reasonable priced mechanic as I think I have a vacuum leak in my MR2 (or I hope that the only problem). I am located in Dublin 1 so somewhere relatively close as car is well down on power and I dont want to casue any damage.
Thanks in advance.

One of the cheapest ways to test it your self is to take off the pipe, cover it at one end with a finger and try to blow through. If you can you have a leak.
Or spray some water on it while idling to reveal air bubbles.

Could be the actuator to turbo line.
I have to check my own actually as my boost is down to .4bar so i reckon ive a leak somewhere.
I'll have a look at my own tomorow and tell you how i get on.
If you still want a number for a mechanic try this guy,he's highly recomended by alot of people on DTD from around dublin .username is paddy4door and he qualified etc 0860518744

Sounds good I am gonna have another gander tomorrow also. It seems she is running rich now that there is a vacuumed leak if that what it is. Currently the Turbo timer has an a/f ratio f 11 at ideal and drops into the 10's under light pull on throttle cable. I would have expected lean running but must be compensating like crazy :-s
