do they ever have to be changed if theres no issues?

I changed one in my Primera and I'd say it was the one that was in it when it left the factory in 95..only changed it because I read some shit in the Haynes manual about them needing changing every 2 years

I changed mine a couple of years ago. No harm in doing it I think!

I changed mine a couple of months ago and it made a noticably difference in initial pick up on the N/A engine.

Its and easy job to do, but I would advise making sure the filter is tight in its housing and then "crack" open the bolts. Then watch out for fuel spilling as it will spill.

its definitly worth changing i do it on every car i own its somthing thats over looked by alot off people and even in services in most garages for that matter.a filter is a filter at the end the day and they get dirty my car wasnt boosting great when i got it and once i changed the fuel filter it was much improved.i notice with alot of people wanting to tune there cars for more power and uping the boost and forget the basics and getting the car as close to factory performance before any tunning starts.
